If you have never received Jesus as your Savior, it’s really simple (and easy!) to do. Simply pray this prayer. You can do it aloud or silently. God will hear it either way!
Dear God,
I have lived my life in my own way and have broken your laws. I’m sorry. Please forgive me and come into my heart.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.”
That’s all there is to it. Welcome to the family!
The next step is to tell someone in your life. Do you have any Christian friends? If so, call them up and tell them your good news. They will be thrilled! Then, ask them if you can visit their church with them. It’s really important to connect with a local church so you can learn more about how to grow your faith.
If you don’t know any Christians in your daily life, visit a local church. If you have absolutely no idea which one to visit, I belong to a United Methodist Church. Most churches have websites letting you know when their services are held (typically on Sunday mornings). Visit a church and tell the pastor (or someone else) that you are a new Christian and would like to learn more about your faith.
